Society’s design focuses on defining a spatial approach where the main kitchen is concealed within a hidden central volume. The remaining negative space defined allows for a flow of the circulation to wrap around the central core. Existing structures along the glass façade are respected and emphasized as a design feature, creating a specific play of rhythm that becomes a strong design element of Society.

The central volume is concealed with a pattern of curved edged volumes of different heights, wrapping around the core, and creating a visually pleasing pattern.

The structures are cladded with a rounded repetitively bent feature while maintaining a pure presence, and become a shaping element accommodating benches and allowing a diversity in seating arrangements.

Both features are finished with a gradient textured plaster render of different gradient tones that allow the space to remain grounded to its original identity, while introducing a coherent experience to the user.

An exploration of smooth gradient textures, light carved colored stones and soft linens are contrasted by the dark wooden and clay tables, and the vertical bamboo trees. Light is designed as an omnipresent character, creating, and defining a warm mood with a play of shadows all throughout.
