A coffee house in the heart of Abu Dhabi, inspiration is drawn from the Baobab tree (monkey-bread tree), which is known to be symbolic of life, magic, and happiness. Alongside focuses on the essence of people gathering to celebrate beauty and share moments. Studio Baab wanted to identify the symbol behind the Baobab tree and translate it into a spatial experience while focusing on the natural inspiration. An earthy concept, combining elements and materiality that address and create an aura of comfort and life.

Dark wood, stones, and shades of colors allow the user to indulge in a gathered space. Partitions allowing the space to be divided while maintaining a direct visual connection. Seats are spread around allowing for different experiences, and an attention to the shared space. The naturalistic approach allowed the coffee house to bring people together and create a unique natural and earthy experience.
